Hole 10

Mens: Par 4, 407 yards, SI 4

Ladies: Par 4, 360 yards, SI 6

This is the most expensive hole on the course!

The tee box is set back into the woods with a very narrow entrance onto the downhill fairway. Your drive must start straight to get out if the alleyway and remain so. If you cannot hit a long and straight ball, it is better if you aim left and fade right to compensate for the severe right to left slope.

“Fade” means a gentle curve to the right. A “slice” means you have lost your ball in the thick woodland that marks the right hand side. Don’t bother to look for your ball! Be aware that if you aim too far left, you may hit a golfer on the twelfth tee box or be impeded by the conifers that protect that box.

A good drive means that your second shot to the green is comparatively simple. Just be careful on your distance and direction. The green is protected by a bunker on its left front and by a bank further along the same side. It slopes slightly right to left.
