The club has a large number of members who can qualify as “seniors” because qualification age is only 55 years and golfers seem to live for ever – a good pointer that golf keeps you fit!
The Senior section was formed as a separate “association” within the club in 1987 and has grown in popularity ever since, now boasting 60+ members.
The section plays three days each week every week of the year on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings and many of them play in the club summer and winter competitions as well. Apparently Senior section members have two handicaps, one club and the other their own St Andrews should investigate!
The Seniors have a very busy competition schedule against other clubs on a home and away basis so there is always an opportunity to play other courses at reduced cost.
Retired Membership
Men 65 years old or over (or 60 years old with 15 years or more continuous full paying membership) can join for £652.
Ladies 60 years old or over (or 55 years old with 15 years or more continuous full paying membership) can join for £652.
Retired men 75 years or older can join for £617, while retired ladies 75 years or older can join for just £526.
