Par 4

Two good shots and a wedge!

Apart from its distance and its severe left-to-right slope and the ditch, the hole should present no problem to good golfers. As with every other hole on the course, your drive must be straight, although you can afford to deviate right, over the trees to the third fairway if you need. Be sure to call if you do! Do not hook your drive into the left hand woodland (goodbye ball!) or leave yourself too near this because it will block out your next shot.

If you can drive a ball 300 yards with run then be careful of a ditch that crosses the fairway at this distance – you will see the bridge. Otherwise drive straight for about 250 yards, leaving you with a nice wood for the next 200 yards or so up the middle of the fairway to leave yourself with a wedge onto the green.

Ideally, your approach shot to the green should be high and stop quickly or else should be short and to the woodland side of the green. Your ball will run onto the green from this side and may even run off it if hit too hard. The green is deceiving and has a borrow from left to right.
